More than 200 volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God cleaned up the Jamaica Bay shoreline on Sunday, pulling out debris that clogs the coast and keeps the memory of Superstorm Sandy fresh, even though it touched down nearly 11 months ago.

Members of the World Mission Society Church of God worked with the American Littoral Society to remove about 12,000 pounds of trash including pieces of boats, docks and lumber that lined the banks of Jamaica Bay in Broad Channel.
